Easy Prep Instructions
1. Cook the Meatballs
Prepare the meatballs according to package directions. If using homemade meatballs, bake at 400°F for approximately 18–20 minutes, or until fully cooked.
2. Make the Belle Isle BBQ Sauce
In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine the BBQ sauce, Belle Isle Pineapple Habanero Hot Sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and crushed red pepper flakes if using.
Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer. Cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
3. Sauce the Meatballs
Add the cooked meatballs directly to the saucepan. Toss until every meatball is generously coated in the pineapple habanero BBQ sauce.
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4. Serve
Transfer the meatballs to a serving bowl and spoon any extra sauce over the top. Garnish with chopped green onions or parsley and serve warm with toothpicks.
🏈 Game-Day Tip: Making these for a football party? Transfer the finished meatballs to a slow cooker and keep them on LOW or WARM so guests can grab them throughout the game.
