Ingredients

Seafood

  • 2 fresh salmon fillets or blackened whitefish

  • 12 large shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & black pepper

Hart Plaza Glaze

Coconut or Jasmine Rice

  • Fresh pineapple chunks

  • Quick-pickled red onions

  • Grilled corn

  • Avocado slices

  • Cilantro

  • Lime wedges

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Seafood

Pat the salmon (or whitefish) and shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle lightly with olive oil and set aside.

Step 2: Make the Hart Plaza Glaze

In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in the soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, lime juice, and Heat Street Detroit Hart Plaza Sauce. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until glossy and slightly sticky.

Step 3: Cook the Fish

Place the fish in a hot skillet, skin-side down if applicable. Cook for 4–5 minutes, then carefully flip. Brush generously with the Hart Plaza glaze and cook for another 3–4 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 4: Cook the Shrimp

Using the same skillet, add the shrimp and toss in the remaining glaze. Cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink, opaque, and lightly caramelized.

Step 5: Char the Pineapple

Add the pineapple chunks to the hot skillet and cook for 1–2 minutes, turning occasionally, until lightly charred.

Step 6: Build the Bowls

Divide the coconut rice or jasmine rice among four bowls. Top with the glazed fish, shrimp, charred pineapple, grilled corn, avocado slices, pickled red onions, and fresh cilantro.

Step 7: Finish & Serve

Drizzle with additional Hart Plaza Sauce, squeeze fresh lime juice over the top, and finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt.
